Our Mission:
Empower.
Rock Community Care aims to empower individuals to discover their purpose and develop personally so that they can live fulfilling lives and encourage those around them.

Rock Community Care is a Not-For Profit Organisation that recognises and values the potential of the people who we work with.
We empower people and their families to make good choices that will transform their lives and extend the Kingdom of God. We do this by accepting them, providing stability and showing them how to build positive relationships.

Our main goal with all our programs is to create memorable experiences so that each participant feels fulfilled and valued.
Reality is, that with rising interest rates and rising costs for everyday purchases, more and more people are becoming financially stressed and facing various crises. At Rock Community Care, we make an effort to find out how we can help most effectively whenever we can. We also assist people in the community who are going through difficult times and various crises. Recently, we have supported people with moving into better accommodation, with health and food parcel support and help with basic bills (electricity, vehicle registration, etc.)
When there is busyness all around us, it’s good to be able to stop and ask “Are you doing okay?” And then, because most people say “Yes, I’m okay,” (even when they’re not), it’s good to ask again, “How are you really feeling? Let’s have a coffee.” Often vulnerable people, just need to be heard. Being able to talk through grief and respond to injustice, are all necessary when individuals and their families are not feeling safe or okay. We support individuals and their families according to their need and capacity and refer to advocacy services as required.
It’s fun to go on holidays with your ‘family and friends’, enjoy new experiences and learn new things. For the past 9 years, Rock Community Care has organised an Annual Holiday for any of the residents from Colville Lodge and other participants, in similar situations, to Mt Alford Lodge for a 4 day/3 night holiday. We are so well looked after by the staff at Mt Alford Lodge with fabulous accommodation (ensuited twin share rooms) and beautiful home-cooked meals. We organise outings (e.g. Summerland Camel Farm, Queensland Rail Museum at Ipswich, Law Dogs Queensland at The Summit, Amberley RAAF Base, Darling Downs Zoo at Allora…). Other activities include our versions of Lego Masters and Master Chef, games, craft, movies and walks to keep us occupied during our holiday.
